Clayton NY – The much anticipated grading and filling at the site on Grave Street in Clayton for the new Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue Services’ (TIERS) building has begun. Recently bids were opened and DC Builders was chosen as the general contractor for construction of the 6800 square foot building. “We have waited quite a while for our new facility” says Rolly Churchill, the Executive Director at TIERS. “Our team has much to look forward to and this is a great testimonial to what our community does to support our emergency mission.” says Churchill. A formal Ground breaking ceremony is planned near the end of September or first week of October. The Capital Building Campaign will continue for the next two years. 28% of the 1.3 million project has been raised as of September 17, 2015.
Clayton – On the weekend of May 15-17, 2015 the Watertown based Highway Legends Car Club sponsored the 5th Annual Two Nations 1000 Islands Extravaganza at Cerow Recreation Park in Clayton. The proceeds for the Legends event went to Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue Service (TI-Rescue).
On Thursday July 23, 2015 the Highway Legends presented a check to Rolly Churchill, Executive Director of TI-Rescue for $5000.00.
These proceeds will be utilized for TI-Rescue Capital Building Campaign project that will be in the public phase beginning in August or September, 2015
